WARNING: This is the worst DVD version of a movie I own (over 200). Shame on Amazon for selling such low grade product and then mis-representing information (the movie is only about 50 minutes long and most definately not remastered). When I found this movie I was excited to order it after watching the TNT version with dubbing and clear picture - not to mention full American version. I know that American versions are shorter then the Chinese versions, but there is no way the movie I watched was less than an hour long. The "remastered" picture looks like someone recorded the master copy from a VCR tape that had played on a loop for 15 years. Totally unwatchable. I felt the pit of my stomach drop when the credits came up.

Now out 15 bucks, though a cheap lesson was learned: Amazon does not check the products for accuaracy.
Unfortunatly, since Jackie Chan no longer allows American companies to buy his film rights (due to the hacked-up versions), the only way to get this movie will be if yesasia.com stars to carry it, and even then it will not likely to be in english.

Start your collection here. Youll love the kung fu, the costumes, and the storyline is classic. Jackie Chans skills will be tested by his most notorious enemies. Great character development full of surprizes!! Who is the fifth dragon? Who is the leader of the bloody rain clan? Kung fu magic. Devilmonk

To Kill With INtrigue (1977) 3 out of 5 stars.

Chu Feng is on a mission to kill Jackie's family. She butchers everyone exept for Jackie, she falls in love with him and later saves his life by putting Jackie through a torturous trainning regimen so that Jackie can defend himself against some two-faced "friends". This film is chillingly violent!!!

Rent it-don't buy it! 2 out of 5 stars.

This is one of those films Jackie Chan made under contract to Lo Wei, who was trying to squeeze him into Bruce Lee's mold. Unfortunately, in this film virtually everyone gets to beat the crud out of Jackie (even the girl!!)--how this was supposed to make him look like Bruce Lee, I don't know. The fights are poorly staged and badly filmed--in one fight Jackie just stands there and lets the other guy kick him in the head, then gets up and lets him do it again, over and over. Furthermore, in his attempts to look like Bruce, he just comes across as a mean SOB. The only humor here is of the unintentional kind--but there is loads of that-especially in the love story that runs parallel to the standard revenge plot. (There's the girl friend whose heart Jackie cruelly broke, but for whom he still pines, and there's the girl who loves Jackie, but beats him up and tortures him every chance she gets--yeah, it's weird!) That's the only reason I gave it any stars at all. If you are on a mission to see every movie Jackie Chan ever made, then this one is actually pretty entertaining, if only to marvel at how anyone could have dreamed that a little bow-legged, putty-nosed clown like Jackie Chan could ever have been another Bruce Lee!!

Great Deal! 5 out of 5 stars.

Three great Chan flicks that never made a US theatrical release, which means they lack Jackie Chan doing his own dubbing, which is prob the only thing thats not so grand, except for WHO AM I?, which was released on HBO and does include Chan's own voice.

WHO AM I? - Chan goes for a little bit of drama, though I found the Tribe stuff in the beginning a bit weird, this movie has some great scenes, including chan's run through the city in Swedish wooden shoes, a tight car chase, Jackie sliding down a HUGE building, and an awesome roof top fight against two martial artists that certainly Give chan the fight of his life.

Gorgeous- Jackie's Romantic movie, I found alot of the romance to be a bit cheesy, and the main girl is pretty much a bubble head and her motivations for leaving home seem really odd. Jackie is great as the lonely millionaire who has digital fish (heehe) and has only two fight scenes (no stunts) with this really cool australian guy, definetly worth a watch, but not Jackies best in terms of what his fans are use too.

Miracles- I dunno if this DVD comes with the original language cut or not, so I'll stick to the film. This movie was heart warming, chan is so charming as the out of place Mob boss who wants to do something nice for this woman who wants to impress her daughter. It has some great action scenes, including one at the end in a string factory (whats with jackie and factories? lol)

All three are worth getting if you're a Chan fan, a great collection, at a great price.

Two Guys to Cheer For! 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

In a third cinematic clash, after "Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars"
and "City Hunter," Jackie Chan and Richard Norton turn up the heat for "Mr. Nice Guy," an unusually edgy Chan vehicle that does
not abandon the star's signature for comedic movie action. As in
their previous efforts, Norton plays the nemesis, a Melbourne drug lord (Giancarlo) who must retrieve an incriminating videotape from a naive television chef (Jackie). Norton's performance is a tour-de-force triumph, making the eccentric
Giancarlo one of the most memorable villains from all of Chan's
films. Chan's elusive scramble through the streets of Melbourne,
colorfully utilized by director Samo Hung, reminds the audience
of his ability to mesmerize with stunts staged in familiar locations: a construction site, a mall interior, an abandoned
building. Who needs computerized effects when you've got Jackie
Chan and a ready prop? Giancarlo's lurking henchmen provide the
movie's Keystone Cops, and Hung contributes a funny stunt off the
unlikely seat of a bicycle. "Nice Guy" is flawless fun, prompting
a wish for another Chan-Norton pairing that will put them on the
same side of the law. These two guys are action stars to applaud
for consistently excellent film entertainment!

Editorial Review:

Two action-packed movies, "Jackie Chan's First Strike" and "Mr. Nice Guy", starring favorite fighter Jackie Chan now available at a low cost!

Horrible 1 out of 5 stars.
2 of 3 people found this review helpful.

This is an absolutely horrible movie. It has a very similar plot to "Rummble in the Bronx", but this movie has none of the good fights (Jackie Chan barely does any marial arts or stunts at all)that "Rummble in the Bronx" has, none of the plot, and really is not a true Jackie Chan film. Also stay away from "Fanatasy Mission Force", it is just as bad.

Jackie Joke!! 1 out of 5 stars.

Don't ever watch this movie. It is garbage. Probably the worst movie I've ever seen. Jackie Chan is hardly in it.

OF INTEREST ONLY TO SEE JACKIE CHAN AS A BAD GUY 2 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

IN THIS MEDIOCRE JACKIE CHAN MOVIE, A GIRL THAT'S IN A GANG TRYS TO GET OUT BUT THE GANG WON'T STOP TO HUNT HER DOWN. BUT WHEN SHE DIES IN A TAXICAB ON THE WAY TO THE HOSPITAL, THE CABDRIVER BECOMES A TARGET OF THE GANG, WHO THINKS HE HAS THE GIRL'S PURSE. THIS IS VERY MEDIOCRE FOR A JACKIE CHAN MOVIE. THE STORY IS DUMB, THE SCRIPT IS WACK, AND MOST OF THE FIGHTS ARE LUDICROUS. THOUGH JACKIE CHAN IS ON THE COVER OF THIS MOVIE, HE DOESN'T REALLY DO MUCH. THE ONE GOOD THING ABOUT THIS FILM IS THE FACT THAT WE FINALLY GET TO SEE WHAT IT'S LIKE TO SEE CHAN AS A VILLAIN. WANT A BETTER JACKIE CHAN MOVIE FROM THE EARLIER DAYS? CHECK OUT ''THE YOUNG MASTER'' OR ''SNAKE IN THE EAGLE'S SHADOW''.

Jackie Chan Value 4 out of 5 stars.

This is good old fashioned Jackie Chan Fun And it is at a great price. If you are a Jackie fan then this is a great addition to your collection

Master With Cracked Fingers/Fantasy Mission Force 1 out of 5 stars.
2 of 3 people found this review helpful.

The dialogue is not completely audible and the DVD transfer is a mess. There are constant screen artifacts that plagues both movies throughout. The Fantasy Mission Force movie is basically a cameo appearance for Jackie Chan. The Chinese to English translation dubbing wasn't translated corrected and turned what you can hear into a lame attempt at humor. Master With Cracked Fingers was advertised as Jackie Chan's first staring role. It is too bad this DVD was made so badly. I seen it sold at Best Buy . . .

Terrible 2 out of 5 stars.

I gave this 2 stars only because of Jackie Chan's presence. But then, he really isn't in all of "Master With Cracked Fingers". Apparently the filmmakers ran out of money and then tried to finish the film later, but Jackie is not in the whole movie. They substitute a very obvious imposter for him in many scenes. It is so obvious that it makes the story hard to follow, since from time to time a different character appears.

Both films are in 4:3 format, and look like they were taken from bad VHS masters. They look and sound horrible. No matter how much you love Jackie (and I do), avoid this set!
